Meet the newest National Graduate Director

Casey Maxwell, Oklahoma State University

Name: Casey Maxwell

Location: Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK

Area of research: Ph. D. in Animal Science – Feedlot Nutrition

A tip for surviving grad school: Work hard, strive for excellence and try and do things to separate yourself from other students, and go at it with the attitude that your contributions will be important and improve animal agriculture as a whole.

Favorite meal on a grad student schedule: Green Chili Cheeseburger and Fries!

Favorite song to play in the lab: Well for the early mornings at the feedlot, one of my favorites is a 1971 song by Faron Young “Four in the Morning.”

When I’m not in working I: like to hang out with my wife, and enjoy the outdoors.

Plans as a Graduate Director:  to continue to work hard and provide the programs and events that graduate and undergraduate students desire for their membership in ASAS.
