Welcome! This site was created to provide undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral student members of American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) with association news and career and education information. The ASAS is a professional organization for animal scientists designed to help members provide effective leadership through research, extension, teaching and service for the dynamic and rapidly changing livestock and meat industries. What is animal science?

Animal science is the study of the biology of animals, specifically, the animals that live alongside humans. Around the world, humans rely on animals for food, fiber, labor and companionship. Animal scientists help us better understand the lives of these animals. Research by animal scientists keeps animals healthy and productive.

I like the blog, and more importantly, I had never heard of the ASAS before finding it. If you would be interested at all, I’d like to write a guest post for ASAS Graduate Bulletin about my new experiences as a student in a research setting. Please contact me at the email address provided with this comment and let me know!

    Cheers,
    Austin Bouck
